After a long weekend and holidays, it's time for us to get back to work. The first Monday of 2015 is here, and I'm quite looking forward to coming to the office. I'm not going to lie, I love holidays and weekends like most people, but the first Monday of the year is important to me. It's the first day at work, thus I want it to be productive and positive as much as possible. But, how to stop feeling the Monday blues, you ask? Well, I have a little secret. Getting back to work after a long holiday can be tough, I usually try to keep myself motivated by having a To-do list ready, and of course, dressing professionally for work.
I'm a strong believer having a good appearance will make us feel good about ourselves and it is one of the keys to our self-confidence. I usually wear skirts or dresses to the office, but on Monday, I'd like to dress a little bit more formal and go back to the basic colors like black and white. People often think black pants and white shirts are boring business attire, but that is not entirely true. Playing with different silhouettes and patterns can give an outfit a whole new look, just like how I paired the wide-leg trousers with fitting collar blouse here. The 70's inspired bottoms suddenly become so polished and chic in a modern day.
Now that the perfect outfit is settled. There is no reason to feel doubt, to be afraid, to hesitate. It's time to chase your goals. Today is the first blank page of the 365-page book, make sure to write a good one.
Happy Monday! As always, thank you so much for reading!
