A long weekend is here. That also means it's time to put work aside, do nothing but relax and spend our days with loved ones. I used to work 15 hours a day and spend most of my weekends blogging. I didn't have time for myself and people around me. Although I loved doing what I did, I have to say being consumed by work day and night wore me out. I always felt drained, sleepy, and exhausted. Now, I'm trying to have more quality time for myself and my loved ones while working more productively and efficiently. That's what we always call "Work- Life Balance," don't we?
With a lifestyle change, my fashion style has become more laid back as well. Instead of a t-shirt with jeans and a blazer for brunch or casual meeting, I now opt for denim shorts, spaghetti silk tops, flats or gladiator sandals to catch up with friends or watch a movie. I feel happy, alive, and free. So do my feet, after being "caged" in pointy pumps all week long. If you have never been in heels, you might not understand what I'm saying. Or perhaps, here is another simpler example. You have been working extremely hard for one year, and now you have a day off to do nothing but rest. That's how happy I feel.
Happy Labor Day everyone!
Thank you so much for reading!
