I love Summer, but it's also the reason that causes a lot of skin problems. Sun damage, uneven skin, redness, and acne are the most common issues that people face this time of the year. How to get rid of them? The answer is simple: make an effort to take care of your skin.
Although, we can easily buy any commercial facial mask from a beauty store, it's always more fun to make our own skin care remedies from our kitchen. Besides, it's safe, effective, and affordable. I've been feeding my skin with a lot of natural and organic products. Tomato is one of them. I make an effort to apply tomato mask once every two nights and they really make my skin so much healthier and softer. Below are some of my favorite homemade facial masks from a tomato that I'd love to share with you.
1. Tomato and Lemon mask
Squeeze the juice from the tomato and lemon into a bowl or a container and mix them well together. I usually put the mixture in a fridge so it can really give me a cooling feeling on my face. It's like a wake-up call. Whenever you are ready, apply the tomato-lemon juice all over your face and wait for 15 to 30 minutes. Then, rinse it off with lukewarm water.
While tomatoes contain vitamin A and B that regenerate cell renewal, Lemons can be used for oily and combination skin. Especially, if you have enlarged pores, you definitely should apply this mask.
2. Tomato and Honey face mask.
Blend the tomato until it becomes juice then mix it with honey. Then, apply the mixture onto your face and leave it for half an hour. Rinse the mask off with lukewarm water.
This simple mask is perfect to brighten your dull skin. Just in case you don't know, tomato can protect your skin from sun damage. Honey, on the other hand, can protect your skin from bacterial and gems, prevent acnes and blemishes. It's a double protection for the skin.
3. Tomato and Milk face mask.
Mixing tomato juice with milk and applying it all over your face using cotton pads. I usually keep some extra mask in a container and apply onto my face once a day. If you have oily skin, this mask (or some people use it as skin cleanser) is good for you. Don't apply this if you have sensitive skin.
4. Pure tomato mask.
If you are really lazy but still want a flawless and healthy skin, just cut the tomato into thin slices and place them all over your face. Leave it for 20 minutes then rinse off with water.
A couple of #selfie photos would be fun while waiting.
There you have it! Some of my most affordable, easy, and effective facial masks that I can swear by them.
